Greetings fellow deviants one and all,
So my journey into the world of "Fractal Art" continues and I strive to learn what I can, and each day brings something new.
One of the constants I am experiencing is the flow of inspiration or the lack of any at all.
Lately my health has been playing a big part in that, some days I just do not have anything to give and others it flows freely.
For the most part my time here has been a positive experience, I have made some good friends and learned from many who have freely offered advice and guidance.
The thing that is unique about fractals is the methods that can be used to generate them, there is a myriad of "Fractal Generators"
A plethora of programs that can be used to enhance, transform or tweak the fractal.
So any art form is subjective and each has its own unique style, and we can interpret them all in so many different ways, is a Fractal art?
A quote from a wiki that sheds some light on that question = " Generating fractals can be an artistic endeavor, a mathematical pursuit, or just a soothing diversion. However, Fractal Art is clearly distinguished from other digital activities by what it is, and by what it is not." According to Kerry Mitchell, fractal art is not computerized art, lacking in rules, unpredictable, nor something that any person with access to a computer can do well. Instead, fractal art is expressive, creative, and requires input, effort, and intelligence. Most importantly, "fractal art is simply that which is created by Fractal Artists: ART."
I am no authority on the subject of Fractals or Art for that matter, but I know what I like, and I have seen many beautiful works of art here
From the hardcore to the hobbyist I feel we all have something to contribute.
If I could offer any advice, I think being supportive of one another and encourage your fellow deviants, that in itself can be an inspiration!
Be well my friends...
